Join the Power of Women Board
The Power of Women Campaign (POW) is inviting expressions of interest from individuals who would like to join our Board of Directors.
POW is a community-led organisation that raises the aspirations of young people across Teesside. Through their innovative ambassador programme in primary schools and our “Aim High” events in secondary schools, they inspire young people to believe in their potential and promote equality for all.
POW are seeking committed, passionate individuals to help guide and grow their impact. Board roles are voluntary and require attendance at bi-monthly board meetings (approx. 2 hours), as well as occasional participation in POW events and activities.
POW are particularly keen to hear from individuals with experience or knowledge in any of the following areas:
- Primary education
- Governance and compliance
- Health and safety
- Fundraising, grants and bid writing

Not ready for a board role but still want to get involved? POW also have a range of volunteer opportunities available, especially in administration and event support.
POW are looking for ‘doers’: people of all backgrounds and genders who are passionate about creating change for girls and women in Teesside. If you’ve got the time, energy, and commitment to help us grow, they’d love to hear from you.
