East End Women- Building futures East
What They Do
East End Women aims to address the needs of women. We can work with any women aged 18+ and from all areas of our diverse community.
One of the primary objectives of East End Women is to provide opportunities that bring women together in a safe place. We aim to create an environment where friendship and connections are sustained and extend beyond the activities provided by East End Women extending out into the communities in which women live. The range of activities and opportunities on offer set out to engage and support women at whatever stage they find themselves and we understand that sometimes, unfortunately, women only engage at the point of crisis, whilst for others we can offer critical early interventions. In all that we offer, we are committed to ensuring that women can fulfil their potential.
Our East End Women interventions aim to reduce personal isolation & build independent personal networks & friendship groups, tackle inequality & domestic abuse, build self-confidence & personal capacity, improve mental and physical health through well-being activities including gardening, sewing and walking, tackle inequality & domestic abuse, build skills – functional & vocational, support employability need, promote environmental sustainability through recycling and upcycling activities.
