What They Do

Wear Valley Women’s Aid aims to provide emergency accommodation, support and advice to women and children who have been subjected to domestic abuse.

Wear Valley Women’s Aid aims to increase awareness of domestic abuse and ultimately works towards eradicating all violence and discrimination against women and children

The refuge project Wear Valley Women’s Aid, has existed in Bishop Auckland for over 40 years, offering women and their children, who have experienced domestic abuse, temporary accommodation in a crisis, practical support and advice alongside specialist help to deal with the emotional impact of their experiences.
